![]() Oh, I am not completely finished with the club stock. be honest if you think it looks like a let me hear it. Got the correct Romy bipod from Military Gun Supply for $25 + shipping. Ok, I got this stock set minus the upper handguard on my Romy RPK build and as usual I take on a project that makes me a little neurotic. Got the replacement M-72 bipod from Rguns for $50 + shipping. Did you get the correct bi-pod at R-guns as well? I need to look into that. You need the taller one for running 40 round RPK mags. Here is a pic of the wrong bipod before I changed it. Turned out pretty good.Īnother note on the Romanian RPK's, they come with the wrong bipod on them. Went back with 4-5 coats of Cabots spar satin varnish. Wood was stripped down and I used minwax sedona red stain on it. Put it back together and refinished the wood. The stock was not seated correctly out of the box and a small crack appeared, but. Had to remove the FSB and buy a new bipod from Rguns. This guns wood furniture is of decent quality. The feet dangled about 2 inches below the handguards. I guess you could tack weld one on a M-72 but it wouldn't look right or be historically accurate. Alot of the Century Romy builds don't have the carry handles attached very well. Yea, the carry handles were never on the M-72's. Now on you Romanian AES-10B it has a carry handle, can those be added to the Yugo M72's? Were they originally made with carry handles but just didn't get added back on when century rebuilt them? Did you build your M72 or is that a century built gun? What kind of finish is that? I need to get that done on mine. I like what you did with the wood on that M-72. PSL-54C, Romanian RPK AES-10B, Yugo M70AB2 and a Romanian Draco. 2 totally different firearms and 2 very different costs. It is not at all functionally like a Dragunov. So confusing at times.Ī PSL is basically a big ass AK using the 7.62x54R round. Not to be getting off of my own subject too much but what the heck is a PSL? It looks like an AK, but isn't quite a Drugonov, what is it? Are they worth looking at? Do they have any magazines over 10 rounds for it? There is soooooo much to learn about the AKs and the many variants. SInce I have a Yugo M70 I figured I need a Yugo M72 to keep it company I just want the best gun for my increasingly harder to come by money. The RPK that I was looking at was a century built RPK (Yugo M72). Do they both have the same front trunion? I didn't look at the RPK yesterday that closely, I meant to but forgot to check out the receiver a little closer but they were closing up the store when I got there. It also has the bulged front receiver (with heavier front trunion?). Justin pulled his carbine's retractable stock, adjusted its length, and set it firmly against his. I have a Century built Yugo M70AB2 and it is one heavy ass AK. Threads of cobwebs appeared in the cracked windshield. I know the AK and it's variants are about as prolific as the Mausers and it's variants. OK, now I am only slightly less confused. ![]()
